Bible in a year week 16

Apologies for the delay in uploading, we've had a lot of sickness in the house these last few weeks. We're into week 16 of the audio Bible in a year, reading through the end of 1 Samuel and into 2 Samuel with the corresponding chapters of Chronicles. The story of David, as we go through these next few weeks, is central to the story of the Israelites and the Old Testament.

Bible in a year week 15

We continue the audio Bible in a year into week 15 and the book of 1 Samuel during the reign of King Saul. This reign comes to an end in dramatic fashion and there arises a new King in Israel. It is during this week that we see more use of the chronological version as the Psalms are intertwined with this book.

Recap at the end of week 14

In this recap at the end of week 14 we look back over the time when 'everyone did as they wanted' (Judges 17:6). This seems to be the theme of these past two weeks but in the midst of it God continues to work. We look at this specifically through the bizarre and horrific story of the Levite and the Concubine. In this (slightly longer) episode as we look at an outline of the book of Joshua, we have some big questions which come up for the first, but not the last time! Week 14 of the Audio Bible in a year as we move into 1 Samuel. This is where the chronological version proves so helpful as the Psalms are interwoven through the reading of 1 Samuel

Easter message 2024

In this special Easter message we look back over all the previous weeks and pick out some phrases and terms that will be heard a lot throughout Easter. Hopefully this will help deepen your understanding of who Jesus is and what He did for you. This message finishes by reading through several portions of the New Testament to affirm His claims and acts. Praying you celebrate well over Easter, the tomb is empty, Jesus is alive!

Recap at the end of week 12

In this recap at the end of week 12 we look back over the last two weeks and see how the leadership of the Israelites has changed as they embark upon their long awaited journey into the actual Promised Land. The 40 years of the Israelites, and the last number of weeks for us have anticipated this time, so we celebrate it with great enthusiasm.

This week we finish the book of Joshua which charts the movement of Israel into the Pormised Land, and we move into the books of Judges and Ruth.

In this introduction to the book of Deuteronomy, we look at the various aspects of this final exhortation of Moses as the people overlook the fulfilment of the Promised Land
