We see them stepping into the biggest event in Israel's history as they step into the Promised Land. This marks a major part of their identity as they walk towards who God wants them to be.

We're into double figures now as we move into week 10 of the Audio Bible in a year. In week 10 of the audio Bible in a year we join the Israelites at the edge of the Promised Land as they wait to enter into it. We begin into the book of Deuteronomy this week which is the speech Moses gives to the people before they cross the Jordan to enter the Promised Land. Week 8 of the audio Bible in a year as we continue and finish off Leviticus (you'll be glad to hear) and start into Numbers. I know at times it can be hard work but as we talked in the recap, this is God setting out the way the Israelites were to get to know Him, and for us today, how we know the character of God and what He cares about. So as hard as it can seem, it's an important part of getting to know God.

We continue into week 7 of the audio Bible in a year, finishing off Exodus and reading Numbers and Leviticus. Although these books (especially Leviticus) can seem tedious, they are important in showing us the detail God has for His people, the care He has for them and the way in which He seeks this society to be ordered.
