Bible in a year week 15

We continue the audio Bible in a year into week 15 and the book of 1 Samuel during the reign of King Saul. This reign comes to an end in dramatic fashion and there arises a new King in Israel. It is during this week that we see more use of the chronological version as the Psalms are intertwined with this book.

In this recap at the end of week 14 we look back over the time when 'everyone did as they wanted' (Judges 17:6). This seems to be the theme of these past two weeks but in the midst of it God continues to work. We look at this specifically through the bizarre and horrific story of the Levite and the Concubine. Bible in a year week 13

This week we finish the book of Joshua which charts the movement of Israel into the Pormised Land, and we move into the books of Judges and Ruth. 

Bible in a year week 12

We continue the audio series into week 12, as we read through the book of Joshua as the Israelites finally enter into the Promised Land after all these years of wandering in the Wilderness. Those who disobeyed have died and the new generation are already to enter into the land their ancestors were promised.

Bible in a year week 11

We continue into week 11 of the Audio Bible in a year, continuing through Deuteronomy and into Joshua. It's been a long time coming, basically 10 weeks, but now the Israelites are ready to enter the Promised Land! Let's see how it turns out this week!!

The recap at the end of week 10 looks back over the last two weeks and approximately 40 years of wandering in the wilderness. We see them stepping into the biggest event in Israel's history as they step into the Promised Land. This marks a major part of their identity.

We're into double figures now as we move into week 10 of the Audio Bible in a year. In week 10 of the audio Bible in a year we join the Israelites at the edge of the Promised Land as they wait to enter into it. We begin into the book of Deuteronomy this week which is the speech Moses gives to the people before they cross the Jordan to enter the Promised Land.
